Lee Short BSc MSc

Lee is a Musculoskeletal Podiatrist working primarily with orthopaedic and sports injury cases. He also has extensive experience in the mechanical management of post-operative complications of lower limb surgery and in advising and treating childrens feet.

Lee obtained his first degree in Podiatry (BSc) in 1994. In 2005 he obtained a post graduate Master’s Degree in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics, one of the first specialist degrees of its kind in the country. He has over 20 years’ experience as a podiatrist, working for the NHS and Ministry of Defence. Most of his experience has been in the field of podiatric biomechanics and musculoskeletal podiatry, with specialisation in functional rehabilitation. Since obtaining his post graduate biomechanics degree, Lee has continued to study human movement and dysfunction.

He has completed many hours study in the analysis and assessment of movement dysfunction, via post graduate study with Kinetic Control, the running matrix – performance solutions and The Running Clinic. Lee has provided numerous lectures and conference presentations on the podiatrist’s role in the management of running injuries.

Before establishing Podiatry Clinics, Lee worked for many years as an extended scope practitioner in the NHS and specialist clinician in rehabilitation teams within the Ministry of Defence. He continues to provide specialist services to injured military recruits.  Lee has developed a specialist interest / knowledge in running analysis and rehabilitation. He has vast experience working with the general public and professional sports personnel as well as regular, extensive work in the rehabilitation of injured military recruits and regular personnel.

Lee is able to offer expert advice based on the latest research evidence and current trends.

Lee is a keen contributing member of MSK UK a professional group dedicated to continued professional development within the field of musculoskeletal podiatry.

Lee is a keen recreational runner and enjoys snowboarding and walking with his family.
